Liberty London: The Bayeux Tapestry

$160.00

In Autumn 2026, the Bayeux Tapestry, a historic artifact illustrating the 1066 Norman invasion, is being exhibited in the UK for the first time in nearly a millennium at The British Museum. Liberty London marks the occasion with a limited-edition collection inspired by this extraordinary piece of history and I was lucky enough to be in London and able to purchase the special edition print by Liberty of this gorgeous masterpiece.

Printed on Tana Lawn™ cotton, which is dense 240 thread count that gives the fabric its signature fluid drape and vibrant print clarity of the design, it has the feeling of silk but 100% washable cotton.

The print draws on the original tapestry’s embroidery style and features a playful, selvedge-style section that recalls its border, an array of illustrated characters and motifs accentuated by fine details, and a color palette that leans into its bright coloration.

These are gloriously oversized at 20” x 24.5”

One of a kind. Set of eight are $160.
