Parisien Chinoiserie
My trip to Marché Saint-Pierre in the Montmartre district of Paris this fall always yields the best fabric and my latest visit was no exception. This stunning Chinoiserie print on a heavy weight cotton stood out amongst the large meters of fabric in this iconic shop. The word Chinoiserie comes from the French word ”Chinoise” which means Chinese and refers to a European interpretation of decorative art inspired by Asian art and cultures.
Each one of the 24 napkins are unique in pattern, with a soft black, almost chocolate print on a stunning marigold background. The napkins measure 17.5" x 16.25" as cut from meters.
$11 per napkin.
